The event, Total Energy Solution for HVAC System highlighted the promotion of renewable energy sources such as geothermal heat pump, chiller heat pump, high efficiency cooling towers, raw sewage water energy recovery and organic rankine cycle in the design of local infrastructures. It also served as a venue to introduce Koppel’s newest technical collaborations with Rosemex, a global manufacturer of cooling tower and Aerco, an industry leader in water heating technology for 65 years. It was a very successful event as guest speaker Engr. Alfred Ng, Chairman, President, & CEO of Mammoth Inc., discussed and shared his knowledge in Energy Saving Solutions for HVAC System among industry professionals. Through this partnership, Koppel Inc. aims to strengthen its capability in offering total air and energy solution to its valued clients as it completes its product line up from residential window type air conditioners to large capacity applied products. Air-conditioner manufacturer Koppel recently marked its 111th year of existence with “Innovision: One Vision Towards Innovation,” held last January 27 at the New World Hotel, Makati City. The event, fully packed with more than 360 dealers, consultants, distributors,architects, engineers and valued partners, unveiled the biggest innovation of Koppel to date, a green manufacturing facility in Carmelray Industrial Park, Laguna that is deemed to be the first of its kind in the Philippines. This is one of the company’s ways of fulfilling its vision of innovation while staying true to its promise to save the environment. The First Green Aircon Manufacturing facility in the Philippines is one step closer to becoming a reality. Koppel Inc. officially announces the construction of its new state-of-the-art factory in Carmelray Laguna, Industrial Park II during the groundbreaking ceremony last November 27, 2014. Sitting on a 3 hectare property, this facility will be producing environmentally friendly and energy-saving air conditioning products in line with the company’s Go Green Campaign and its commitment towards environmental protection and sustainability.
“Today’s ground breaking is the culmination of all our hard work to realize our dreams and aspiration to become a leading force in the air con industry.” Johnny Yu said, President of Koppel, Inc.
The event was graced by Koppel’s executives and managers together with architect William Ty of WTA Architect and Design Studio, and Engineer Bong Nunio, President of Metro Stone Rich.
The new factory will be operational 2nd quarter of 2015.
Koppel Inc. has always been an active supporter of the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers (PSME). Last October 22-25, 2014, it participated in its 62nd national convention titled, “PSME: Our Prime Mover to achieve Global Recogniton” held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasacy city. It featured its Super Multi Plus Inverter Variable Refrigerant Flows (VRF) system, a powerful system ideal for large commercial air conditioning applications and designed for individualized comfort and optimum energy savings of up to 60%. It also introduced its 2-in-1 airconditioner with built-in water heater that can generate as much as P288,000 annual savings for business establishements. A live working display unit was exhibited to show how the the heat expelled from the airconditioner was being used to produce the free hot water. It was a great way for the customers to experience and have a better appreciation of how the system works. The PSME’s annual national convention is a good platform not only in building relationships with customers and partner mechanical engineers but also, showcase the latest product innovations in the HVAC industry.

Global warming and climate change continues to be a threat to our society. The idea of recovering the heat given off by the air conditioning system and converting this into renewable energy is one of the focus of the Koppel’s green campaign. This product was featured during the Green Philippines exhibit last September 25-27, 2014 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay and in fact generated positive feedback from customers, owners of business establishments, mechanical engineers and the like.
October 4, 2013 marked the momentous occasion for Koppel, Inc. – The celebration of their 5th Year Anniversary. Challenges and adversaries were faced for the last Five years but the company was able to overcome and achieve the sales commitments that exceeded expectation.
Koppel employees gathered to offer a thanksgiving mass and continued to a short and meaningful program. The event valued the company milestones contributed by each department, awarded employees with cost saving ideas and for the first time heard the untold story of how Koppel really started narrated by the president himself, Mr. Johnny Yu.
