Where can we buy Koppel air conditioners?

How long is the warranty period of my unit?

For Window Type AC: One (1) year on parts and labor and five (5) years on compressor on from the date of purchase.

For Wall Mounted Split Type AC: One (1) year from start up date or 18 months from purchase, whichever is earlier on parts and labor. Five (5) years from the date of purchase on the compressor.

For Light Commercial Products: One (1) year from start up date or 18 months from purchase, whichever is earlier on parts, labor and compressor.

It is better to keep your receipt to facilitate quicker processing of warranty should there be any concerns with your unit.

Where can I find the model code and serial number of my air conditioner?

For the indoor unit, the model and serial number can be found on a sticker label located on the right side of the front panel when facing the unit.

For the outdoor unit, it is located on the upper right side of the panel, when facing the unit

How much is my energy savings if I purchase an inverter unit?

Up to 50% savings as compared to a non-inverter unit.

How do Inverter type of air conditioners work, considering that inverter types are now in demand in the market?

Inverter technology uses variable speed compressor which automatically adjusts A/C capacity depending on the room’s heat load. Using an inverter vs. a non-inverter can significantly reduce your electricity costs of up to 50%.

How much is the cost of repairing my unit?

The final cost will vary depending on the extent of damage on your unit and the scope of work that will be done. This will also be subject to the cost of the replacement part/s, if applicable.

How do I prevent my air conditioner from breaking down?

Proper maintenance is essential.  Always have your air conditioner cleaned and checked for any unusual noise and leaks. It is advised to have your air conditioner undergo preventive maintenance twice a year. You may avail your free one (1) preventive maintenance and one (1) general cleaning during the one year warranty period.

My air conditioner is leaking/sweating, what do I do?

Common reasons that may cause your unit to leak/sweat:

• The air filter might be dirty. Kindly check the air filter and perform cleaning if needed.
• The drain line might be clogged. Kindly check the drain line to flush it out.
• The coil might be dirty. General cleaning must be done on the unit.
• There might be a problem in the refrigerant system.

How often should I change my aircon filters?

Air filters generally last for 5-10 years as long as the air filter is properly handled during cleaning. However, when physically damaged, it should be changed.

My air conditioner does not turn on? What do I do?

Make sure the air conditioner is switched on and the plug is pushed completely into the outlet. You may also check the fuse/circuit breaker box and replace the fuse or reset the breaker.

My air conditioner does not cool as it should. What are the possible reasons?

Some common causes are the following:

• Airflow is restricted – Make sure there are no curtains, blinds or furniture blocking the supply and return grill of the unit.
• Air Filter is dirty – Make sure to clean the filter at least once in every 2 weeks.
•The capacity of your unit is not correct for your desired area.

I set my desired temperature at 24 Degrees but the LED indicator goes back to 29 Degrees.

The temperature displaying (29oC) on the led display panel is the initial room temperature. For the unit to achieve your desired temperature, allow the room to cool down first. You will notice a decrease in temperature as it reaches your desired set temperature of 24 oC.

My warranty has expired, and my air conditioner needs to be repaired, what do I do?

My air conditioner doesn’t turn on after a power failure/brownout!

During power failure, you may switch off and unplug the power cord. When electricity is restored, reconnect the power cord and switch on the unit. The outdoor unit will have 3-5 minutes delay before it runs as it protects the compressor from sudden start operation.

My air conditioner unit is literally freezing/ icing.
